Russell's latest Kyocera oscillators in a variety of sizes and frequencies, the Kyocera Z series includes three new surface mount clock oscillators with high stability and low current consumption.
The core concept of the Z-Series is easy to use and easy to access. The Z series is available in three models (Z series 1 to 3, respectively), each of which is available in five sizes and is an easy-to-use clock oscillator. To ensure high productivity and reduced lead times, the Z-Series uses a new platform structure: each model shares the same joint unit, but with different bottom dimensions. Since the crystal, package and IC are made of common materials, the price of the Z series is very competitive.
The Z Series 1 uses a custom IC with PLL capability covering the frequency range from 1.5MHz to 160MHz. The frequency stability is +/- 20ppm over the normal operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. At temperatures up to 125 ° C, the stability is still +/- 30 ppm. The delivery time required for Z Series 1 is only one day.
The Z Series 2 has the same specifications as Series 1, but with improved frequency stability of +/- 2ppm, the samples can be fully programmed within one week according to the frequency and stability required by the customer. The Z Series 3 combines the very compact frequency tolerance of Series 2 with a tailor-made crystal to provide low jitter performance in the bypass PLL, making it the flagship of the new Kyocera oscillator family. The Z Series 3 has a frequency range from 24MHz to 60MHz and samples can be delivered in seven weeks.
Each series has a supply voltage range of 1.71V to 3.63V and a current consumption of 2.85mA. Other features include CMOS output and enable/disable features. They are also suitable for the automotive grade AECQ100 / 200 specification. Target applications include consumer products, networking, industry and entertainment.
