A few days ago, Zall Holdings announced that it will formally cap the new gymnasium of Wuhan University donated by it. This is the largest gymnasium in China's universities and is expected to be delivered before September next year. The stadium can host high-level sports events. It has been selected as an alternative venue for the 2019 Wuhan World Military Games.
In 2015, the new stadium project of Wuhan University was officially started. The construction area is 37,200 square meters and it is expected to accommodate 8,000 people. With more space, the new stadium can not only host basic indoor sports competitions such as volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, dance, and exhibitions, but also can host indoor sports such as shooting, swimming, weight lifting, boxing, and even electronic sports.
In terms of style, the new stadium strives to be consistent with Wu Dayuan's architectural style, and has a greater breakthrough in craftsmanship and design, with a more scientific sense and a modern atmosphere. The appearance continues with Wuhan University’s consistent “green glazed tile†roof design, which contrasts with surrounding construction venues. The new venue also integrates new technologies and new applications such as BIM, VR, 3D printing, and 3D scanning. Even decorative materials, steel structures, electromechanical installations, curtain walls, metal roofs, and intelligent sunroofs are all new materials and processes.
