Intake control is only used in certain country models. This control determines whether RECIRC (recirculated air) or FRESH (fresh air) is the working mode at that time based on the TAO value, and outputs this decision to the intake control servo motor to execute the control.

When voltage is applied to terminals â‘ and â‘¡ or â‘ and â‘¢, the motor starts. The microcomputer built into the amplifier of the automatic air conditioner refers to the TAO value to determine which mode is the current operating mode, and according to this decision (the example in Figure 1-22 is the FRESH mode), the FRS (fresh air) transistor . This grounds contact B, creating a voltage difference between terminals â‘ and â‘¢. This voltage difference causes current to flow from terminal â‘ to the motor, moving the contact to terminal â‘¢, then to FRS Tr, and finally to ground, thereby starting The motor moves the moving contact away from the RECIRC position to the FRESH position. This pulls the moving contact away from contact B and enters the FRESH mode.
If the microcomputer refers to the TAO value, it is determined that the system is currently working in the RECIRC mode, and its operation procedure is similar to that of entering the FRESH mode.
The intake control also has a fresh air forced intake control. When the DEF switch is pressed, the air intake mode is forced to FRESH to clear the mist on the inside of the windshield and prevent the mist from continuing to form.
Another function of intake control is to change the ratio of fresh air to circulating air. Its working principle is the same as temperature control.
