Lei Fengwang: In your speech, you mentioned the concept of “everything or nothing”. I want to focus on this “spiritual” word. What is your vision?

Gu Jiawei: First of all, based on our understanding of "spirit", we have the means and assumptions we want to achieve. Our current idea is how to make industrial robots and commercial robots more suitable for home user scenarios, or find a way to make home robots more intelligent and spiritual.

Lei Feng network: This idea is very good, but how to make ideas come to the ground, what are the difficulties in the process of implementation?

Gu Jiawei: There are many difficulties. The first is that there are many pseudo-demands, and secondly, it is difficult for today's user scenarios to cultivate user habits of smart products. Then we can not find the hard user scene through the understanding of business and user scenarios, and get the actual user value, which is a major difficulty.

Gu Jiawei: Amazon's echo has subverted the consumption pattern of consumables. Apple's ipod has overturned the subscription model of music products. Originally needed to buy the entire album, later turned into a separate download. We are also looking for business models related to digital content in the home, breaking the business model to find pain points.

Lei Feng Network: What are the characteristics of this new business model?

Gu Jiawei: In the "pain point" layer, find the point where the business model can focus and find a "tick." The so-called "itchiness" is actually the core nature of "spirit ." However, it is not enough to have “spirit”, and it is extremely important to solve the problem that users just need and obtain user value. This is also a lot of energy that we are spending on doing. We are not referring to the “spirit” gimmicks and concepts, but we must subvert the business model from the actual functional level, and obtain new value experience products just needed. This is the “pain point” plus the previously mentioned “itchiness”. "", and "spirit" is a good "itch".

Lei Feng network: consumer intelligence products where the opportunity?

Gu Jiawei: In the current home environment, smart products do not need to complete certain specific tasks. Therefore, the opportunity lies in that people will purchase these products because of some emotions and become sticky. How to find the right balance between the "pain point" and the spiritual "tick point" through business model innovation is our product. This is what we have been thinking about.

Gu Jiawei: Like the Jibo I mentioned in my speech today, our chairman and I are very optimistic about it. (Note: Jibo is a home social robot manufactured by MIT scientist Cynthia Breazeal. Gu Jiawei: We want to be a global brand that targets the consumer market. In the future, China will appear the third wave of technology-based companies. As we all know, the first wave is Lenovo, Huawei, etc., benefiting from the window of opportunity released by the government at that time; the second wave is Internet companies, Baidu, Tencent, Alibaba, etc.; the third wave. We think these companies are emerging through artificial intelligence.

Gu Jiawei: First, the first is to build a talent platform. China's talent pool in artificial intelligence is very sufficient. For example, Chinese people participate in events organized by the ACM Society, the IEEE Society, and other events. Second, we must have a good strategic deployment. Today's robots are hard to come up with single product explosions, so we need a multidimensional product matrix. This is a game that is different from the past. We need to be very comprehensive and we must have a far-sighted vision of strategic layout in various fields. In addition to our own products, we also invest and cooperate to obtain the latest technology and creativity in the industry, absorb these strongest points, and enrich our understanding of robots. This is very important.

Lei Fengwang: Just now you mentioned the possibility of digging with digital content. So is this the focus of your future attention?

Gu Jiawei: Today's speech at the General Assembly is relatively limited, so I did not fully expand this topic. Digital content is not our most emphasized aspect. I think that to make users feel that a product is spiritual, it is actually a touch to the users, but at the same time, users also need to have sustainable value, usually two One way is to directly address the user's needs, directly hit the user's "pain point", the other is constantly grinding the user's pain points, in the process to make the user sticky. This is what we say. We provide our unique value through the operation of content services, not to say that digital content is widely and following the trend. What we want to do is to look for possible breakthroughs in the business model. This is why Apple's ipod will fire. Why Amazon's echo is the key to doing so.
