What does it feel like to play VR version of "Radiation 4"? This experience tells you

In this year's E3, B Club launched the VR version of "Radiation 4". Foreign media UploadVR recently experienced this game. The Lei Feng network immersive channel is compiled as follows.

At this year's E3 conference, Bethesda reconfirmed that they will focus on VR games in the future and launched a heavyweight masterpiece - the VR version of "Radiation 4" (reported by Lei Fengnet). Today, I finally had the privilege of wearing HTC Vive to walk into this wasteland.

If you are familiar with the regular version of "Radiation 4", it will definitely feel like going home when you first enter the game, because the demo version of VR is also at the Red Rocket gas station. Indeed, everything around is so familiar, but there is a slight difference in control. In the Demo version, the default mobile method is delivery, so I jumped and killed a lot of ghouls at the gas station.

In VR, it's very convenient to switch weapons. You can just click on the touchpad on the right-hand handle to call out the weapon wheel, and then you can make choices in pistols, rifles, and mini-nuclear weapons. After trying for a while, I decided to give priority to the mini-nuclear weapons. I can switch them with just one click, so that I don’t need to worry about the firepower when I’m in a bizarre situation.

The player's left hand handle can be set to wear the Pip-Boy feature so that the player can use the action instructions to control the kiddie. As you continue waving your left hand, you can call out the main menu and then click on the center of the trackpad to complete the selection. After setting up, I dropped my left arm back to the wasteland world. At this time I have warmed up and completely immersed in this virtual world.

After trying the guy and playing a few transfer modes, the mainline game started. I walked all the way to Concord. As an old powder of Radiation 4, I knew that the claw of death was waiting for me.

Perhaps it was the care of B Club. I actually found energy armor on the road. This thing could hit the big fortune on the road.

From an experience point of view, the VR version still moves smoothly. The left-hand touchpad controls the direction, and double-click controls the speed. However, the game screen is always a little jittery and may be recalibrated by the follow-up B community.

Although fully prepared, the death claw still scared me and it rushed like a locomotive. Preston Garvey, who was crouching upstairs in the downtown museum, gave it a few shots. I was shocked to have used mini-nuclear weapons. However, after stabilizing my mind, I still had a light machine gun.

The VATS version is somewhat different from the console version. In the console version, the screen freezes and the player can directly aim at a part of the place. In the VR version, however, B agency changed it to slow-motion mode. Due to the unlimited use of VATS in the Demo version, I soon exterminated the claws of death and began to enter the museum.

In the museum, I also met a lot of Riders, but these guys were opponents, energy armor and light machine guns, I quickly destroyed them completely. In order to get more fusion reactors, I entered the basement alone, and the reactor was behind a locked door. The operation mode of unlocking in the VR version is basically the same as that of the host version, but the control is slightly different. I used my right thumb to rub on the touchpad to control the hairpin to rotate in the lock cylinder. After hearing the crisp sound, just click the trigger key and the door opened.

After blasting more robbers, I finally rushed to the floor to meet the old folk Preston. Interestingly, I found myself wearing armor and becoming quite burly in the VR world.

Although I still want to continue exploring and killing more super mutant monsters on the waste land, the Demo version is over. What I have to say is that this experience is very good and I feel that I belong to a member of the radiation world.

As consumer-level VR devices are still in the initial stage and their user base is small, manufacturers will not invest much effort in porting 3A to VR platforms. However, the arrival of "Radiation 4" has made a good start. The addition of these top-level contents will increase the sales of VR equipment and support the healthy development of VR industry.

In October this year, the complete VR version of "Radiation 4" will be officially launched. Blessed are those who want to explore the wasteland.
