The aluminum electrolytic capacitor for SRS airbag can be used as a backup power source for opening the airbag when the car battery is stopped due to an accident. Recently, with the multi-channel airbag system, the power required to activate the airbag has increased. Therefore, an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is required to achieve a larger capacity. In addition, it is expected to further promote the miniaturization of airbag control units and the high-density packaging of electronic components. Therefore, Kumi decided to develop and sell large-capacity products with a capacity exceeding the current aluminum electrolytic capacitor LBG series.
In order to increase the capacity of the new product, a high-magnification aluminum electrode foil with a larger capacity per unit area than the original product is used. In addition, by using new electrolytic paper, etc., the storage efficiency of the components has been improved, and the area of ​​the aluminum electrode foil has been enlarged. Compared with the LBG series, a maximum capacity of 44% has been achieved. The main performance parameters of the new product are as follows: operating temperature range is -55 ～ + 105 ℃; rated voltage range is 25 ～ 35V; electrostatic capacity range is 2500 ～ 14000μF; electrostatic capacity tolerance range is 0 ～ + 30%; size is φ16 & TImes; 20 ～ 40mm, φ18 & TImes; 20 ～ 40mm; 5000 hours durability can be ensured at 105 ℃.

In addition to the LBK series, Japan Gui Mi Gong also released four other new products of aluminum electrolytic capacitors. (1) The lead-type aluminum electrolytic capacitor "PSG series" has been added with an increase in the rated ripple current by 23 to 34%. The PSG series is a product for power supplies for personal computers and servers, etc., and the product is being mass-produced at the Yomizawa Yonezawa Plant.
(2) The new screw terminal type aluminum electrolytic capacitor "KMQ series" was released. Compared with the products of the same capacity in the existing KMH series, the height of the new product is reduced by a maximum of 44mm (the volume is reduced by a maximum of 31%). The KMQ series is a product of universal inverters for machine tools, industrial robots, servo motors, etc. It is currently in mass production at the Fukushima plant in Kumi, and it is scheduled to be produced in overseas bases (a US subsidiary and a Wuxi subsidiary) in the future.
The new product is mass-produced at the Kumi Iwate factory, and mass production is possible from July 2013.

(3) The new product "RHA series" of screw terminal type aluminum electrolytic capacitors was released. The rated voltage is 650V, which is the world's first product that can guarantee 5000 hours durability at 85 ° C. It is used as a general-purpose inverter for machine tools, industrial robots, servo motors, etc. It is currently in mass production at the Fukushima plant in Kumi.
(4) An E40 size product with a height reduced to 4.0mm has been added to the "PXF series" chip type conductive polymer solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The PXF series is used for personal computers, etc. Samples are being supplied now, and mass production is scheduled to begin at the Guigong Miyagi factory before the end of July 2013.
