And the latest news shows that Microsoft is now testing the connection of the Surface tablet with the smart watch device. There are also reports that the company has purchased a large number of 1.5-inch display screens from upstream suppliers.
Microsoft ran a modified version of the Windows 8 operating system on the smartwatch prototype, with the purpose of testing the integration of other Windows-based devices into the product. AmongTech recently reported that this smart watch prototype product uses a variety of different color interchangeable wristbands, including blue, red, yellow, black, white and gray. The Verge report also claimed that this news is more reliable, and the replaceable wristband is also an important publicity point for Microsoft smart watches. In addition, this prototype device uses an outer layer of aluminum oxynitride, which is said to be a transparent, high-hardness aluminum material that is three times harder than glass.
The more reasonable information also includes that this test prototype device uses a customized version of Windows 8 system, the purpose is to work better with other members of the Microsoft family. AmongTech also said that some prototype products use 6GB of built-in storage space, support LTE network, and support Microsoft's cloud storage. The product will provide information notification and music control functions, but currently it is not known how this smart watch works with Surface.
