AMS1117 is a positive low-dropout regulator with a voltage drop of 1.2V at 1A current.
AMS1117 has two versions: fixed output version and adjustable version, fixed output voltage is 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.0V, 3.3V, 5.0V, with 1% accuracy; fixed output voltage is 1. .The accuracy of 2V is 2%.
The ams1117ADJ is the ams1117 with adjustable power supply voltage, which means:
ADJ is the code name of the adjustment port.
It is able to adjust the current to stabilize it at the rated current, but cannot increase from 12V to 24V.
This pin is a voltage regulator. Some models of switching regulators can boost voltage, while others can only step down.
The working principle of the DJ terminal is to connect a resistor to the Vout terminal for sampling, and then connect a resistor to ground to control the output current within a rated range.
ADJ on the power supply is the adjustment port; generally on the power supply board, ADJ is the abbreviation of Adjust, which means "adjustable".
+V means the positive voltage of the power supply; "+" here means the polarity of the power supply voltage; it can be seen that the voltage at this mark position on the power supply board is a DC voltage; (only DC voltage has "+" and " -" Polarity distinction).
Together it means-the power supply voltage is adjustable ("+" pole).
Note 1: The maximum allowable power dissipation is a function of the maximum operating junction temperature Tj*(max), the paired thermal resistance θja, and the ambient temperature TAMB. Maximum allowable value
At a given ambient temperature (max) (TJ max) TAMB (THETA)/θJA power consumption, exceeding the maximum allowable power consumption will cause the chip temperature to be too high, and the regulator will enter the overheated cutting state. The heat resistance of different packaging types is different from that of THETA JA, which is determined by packaging technology.
