UHV AC transmission project approved, Anhui will build two substations

In order to meet the safe and reliable delivery of power from the Huaibei coal-fired power plant base and the growing demand for electricity in the “Yangtze River Delta” region, the National Development and Reform Commission formally approved the agreement to build a demonstration project for Yu-E power transmission from Huai Nan to Shanghai UHV AC transmission. It is China's first approved UHV AC project.

The Huainan-Shanghai UHV AC transmission demonstration project passes through Anhui, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, including the construction of four new 1000-kilovolt UHV substations and the establishment of a 1000 kV AC double-circuit line on the same tower with a total length of 656 kilometers, of which the province is building Huainan. , South two substations, the project static total investment of 18.536 billion yuan.

The construction of the project will promote the formation of “three vertical and three horizontal” UHV backbone grids, and realize the connection of northwest and southwest large-scale coal-fired power, hydropower, wind power energy bases and major power load centers in North China, Central China, and East China. Within the scope of ensuring the power supply laid the foundation, more Anhui won external energy support to win the opportunity.
