Recently, the "Helieon" perpetual lighting module jointly developed by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (2330) converted LED factory Bridgelux and electronic connector manufacturer Molex Incorporated was awarded by Lightfair 2010. "Most Innovative Product of the Year Award".
The "Helieon" LED lighting system is the world's first plug-and-play, resilient solid-state lighting module that integrates high-efficiency precision lighting and socket solutions to accelerate innovation and help solid-state lighting enter mass production. The system can be easily replaced or upgraded after installation, eliminating the need to remove a full range of lighting, while high system efficiency allows the unit to operate at greater than 50 lm/W.
Helieon can be used in indoor and outdoor lighting systems. Manufacturers claim to have a life span of more than 10 years. The wholesale price of each group is less than $20 and is scheduled to ship in May 2010.
