OLED industry status

The status of the global OLED industry

According to market research firm DisplaySearch , the demand for all materials related to OLED will grow rapidly in the future. OLED technology will develop rapidly in the future of display and lighting applications, and the future is bright. According to the Global OLED industry output value reached 10 billion US dollars in 2010, up 20 percent from 2009. In the future, with the development of OLED from mobile phones, smart phones, tablets, TV sets and lighting, the demand for OLEDs will continue to expand. It is expected that the output value of OLED industry will reach 80 billion US dollars in 2017 , of which OLED lighting market will be 2016. It reached $ 4.8 billion.

In terms of OLED display, DisplaySearch expects to exceed $ 20 billion by 2018 , reaching 16% of all flat panel displays. According to market research firm iSuppli released a research report that in 2013 the global OLED TV shipments in 2007 from 3000 grew to 280 million units, a CAGR of 212.3%, from 2007's 200 sales revenue Ten thousand dollars increased to 1.4 billion US dollars, with a compound annual growth rate of 206.8% .

Depending on the OLED luminescent materials, global OLED panel manufacturers can be divided into two camps: small-molecule OLEDs , represented by Kodak, as well as Sony, Sanyo, TDK , eMagin , Pioneer, Samsung, LG , Sic Bo, U-scape, Hongjing, NEC and other companies ; polymer OLEDs include Epson, DuPont , Toshiba and other companies.

As of the end of 2010 , there were 4 4.5 generation lines and 4 5 generation lines in mainland China. At present, the shipment of small and medium-sized panels in mainland China is considered to have entered the fast lane of high-speed development in comparison with South Korea and Taiwan. Statistics show that at present, the panel manufacturers that develop AMOLED technology mainly include BOE, Tianma Microelectronics, Visionox, Hongvision and Rainbow. These companies can be divided into two categories: one is the company with TFT-LCD LCD screen manufacturing, such as BOE and Tianma Microelectronics, and the other is the company that has no liquid crystal manufacturing base and new entry into OLED manufacturing, such as CIGNA.
