With a minimum input voltage of 2.4V and a quiescent current of only 0.8mA, the new ISL97692/3/4A LED driver family maximizes the limited capacity of portable lithium-ion batteries. The ISL97692 integrates 4 channels, each channel is 40 mA; the ISL97693 and ISL97694A provide 6 channels, each channel is 30mA. All drivers have an output current phase shifting that maximizes the efficiency during PWM dimming and increases the effective output current frequency to eliminate noise. In addition, when operating on a single lithium-ion battery, the driver does not require any input voltage other than the battery, which can reduce the board area and the number of components.
