The person in charge of the Provincial Power Company briefed the Dahe reporter on the situation of power supply for winter and spring in our province: this winter, from the overall situation, it can basically meet the electricity demand of the whole province, but due to the comprehensive factors, during the Spring Festival, the province of Fuyang Power shortages still exist in some areas such as Xinyang, Xinyang, Zhumadian, Zhoukou and Nanyang. When supply is tight, industrial users are guided to allow electricity to be used to ensure that important users of the public interest and social stability, such as party and government agencies, hospitals, schools, railways, transportation hubs, and coal mines, use electricity.

Economic development, electricity first. The provincial power company put forward the strategic key points of “taking over UHV and serving Dazhongyuan” and has begun to implement it quickly. Some have already achieved initial results: At the end of 2011, the 1,000 kV Nanyang substation was put into operation, and UHV power was officially launched on the Yu’s landing channel. Opened; May 13 last year, Hami South to Zhengzhou's 800 kv UHV DC transmission project was officially started, the first high tower across the Yellow River Henan Power was successfully capped at the end of last year. The Hami-Zhengzhou UHVDC power transmission line project is an important project for foreign power transmission to Henan. After the operation, Henan Province will directly use the power in Xinjiang, and the power shortage situation in our province will be greatly eased. The project will have power supply conditions by the end of September 2013.

The provincial power company stated that with the completion of these projects, Henan will enter the “Ultra High Voltage era”. During the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, our province will add 20 million kilowatts of power supply outside the zone, which can basically meet the needs of economic and social development.
