China's largest capacity 330kV transformer was successfully tested in Hefei

China's first 330kV class transformer with fully independent intellectual property rights and largest capacity was successfully tested in Hefei.

This transformer was trial-produced by Tianwei Baoteng (Hefei) Transformer Co., Ltd. and passed all test items at one time. Its technical performance indicators were better than the contract requirements.

According to Ding Qiang, assistant to general manager of China Armed Forces Group and chairman of Tianwei Baochang, the product is an SFP-520MVA that is contracted by Tianweibao to a 1×399.6MW gas-fired steam combined unit of Belarus's Minsk No. 5 thermal power station. The main transformer of /330kV is also the largest one in the 330kV class transformer products exported by the domestic transformer industry. The successful development of this product marks a new step in Tianwei's design and manufacturing capabilities, laying a solid foundation for further development of the international market.

It is understood that the Minsk No. 5 thermal power station project is a Belarusian national key construction project. Tianwei Baochang undertook two transformer products of the project last year, which were a SFP-520MVA/330kV main transformer and a SFFZ-31.5MVA/20kV factory transformer.
