China's 14 million US dollars energy-saving lamps big single bidding

Yesterday, the reporter learned from the National Development and Reform Commission that the “China's phase out of incandescent lamps and accelerated promotion of energy-saving lamp projects in 2010, the second batch of open bidding sub-contracts” with a budget of US$14 million was formally launched. At the same time, in order to accelerate the process of eliminating incandescent lamps in China, Guan Baiyu, deputy inspector of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, disclosed that during the year, a number of national and industry standards for LED lighting will be released.

This China, jointly initiated by the National Development and Reform Commission, the United Nations Development Program, and the Global Environment Facility, has gradually phased out incandescent lamps and accelerated the promotion of energy-saving lamp projects. It aims to promote the transformation of incandescent lamp production enterprises, accelerate the improvement of energy-saving lamp promotion mechanisms, and formulate China's phase-out. Incandescent lamps, roadmaps and special plans for accelerating the promotion of energy-saving lamps. The total budget of the project is 14 million US dollars and the implementation period is 3 years.

At the same brightness, semiconductor lighting (LED), which consumes only 1/10 of the power of ordinary incandescent lamps, has become a representative of the fourth generation of energy-saving products.

Wang Jinxi, director of the China Illuminating Society, told reporters that as a green and energy-saving lighting product, LED technology has gradually matured, and it has gradually begun to move from the field of instruction, display and decoration to general lighting. "To realize the industrial scale of 500 billion yuan for LED lighting, it is necessary to make relevant standards in the 'Twelfth Five-Year Plan', increase research and development efforts to replace the current 70% of imported chips, and the realization of industrial goals will be able to save electricity during the year. About 100 billion kWh, said Jun Jun, deputy secretary-general of the National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance.

According to the data provided by the China Institute of Illumination, in 2009, semiconductor lighting applications increased by more than 30% against the market and the output value reached 60 billion yuan. Jun Jun believes that by 2020, LED is expected to occupy 80% of the lighting market share. Some experts predict that by 2015, the annual electricity savings will be 40 billion kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to an annual reduction of 40 million tons of carbon dioxide.
